The owner has installed cameras to spy on tenants. Found out the week I moved in there is a SERIOUS VERMIN issue. The landlord & 1st tenant have beef so the the tenant takes it out on the new tenants. The landlord has SERIOUS communication issues & is afraid of her 1st tenant. The 1st tenant is dead set on moving ONLY friends in so anyone who isn't WILL be harrassed. landlord, her boyfriend & parents WILL access apt at will ANYTIME WITHOUT notice so don't bring "adult" company OR get comfortably undressed in this apt! The 1st tenant will be allowed to hold family functions WITHOUT notification of the other tenants AT ANYTIME OF DAY OR NIGHT! & the landlord WILL back her & gaslight u if u protest. Landlord WILL hold it against u if u complain about upkeep of apt. I.e: vermin, garbage, old tenants mail delivered to ur box. Landlord will try to keep ur deposit & gaslight u or claim u have violated some part of the lease (with no proof) to keep it. The school across the street creates havoc from the moment they open till they shut down. I.e.: traffic, noise, idling buses, fights, school busses shut the block down on purpose so cars can't get thru for hrs. The connecting park is ALWAYS in use day & night. Motor bikes & Cars use this block as a race track. Frequent car break ins. PARKING IS HORRIBLE! landlord holds parking for favorite neighbors. So if u have a car...ur asked out! Tenants are not allowed to use the garbage can in the house & are demanded to throw out garbage EVERY night. 1st tenant will hoard items in the general living area plastic bags, storage tubs, pharmacy items, clothes, anything that doesn't fit in her room & she is the only one allowed to do so. I.e. she has a spot on the couch only SHE can sit on so there will be items left there to secure her spot. If u move these items an altercation WILL ensue. hence the landlord can claim ur deposit as breach of contract. The landlords ONLY concern is that she gets her money. If there are issues in the apt amongst tenants SHE WILL NOT ADDRESS THEM AS SHE SHOULD. YOU WILL BE THE PROBLEM if u ask her to address them.
Advice to the owners
COMMUNICATION IS KEY. PLEASE ADDRESS THE ISSUES WITHIN YOUR APT BEFORE RENTING TO THE NEXT FORSAKENED SOUL THAT LOOKS TO RENT FROM U. PLEASE ADDRESS YOUR VERY SERIOUS RAT & ROACH ISSUE. PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR TO THE NEXT TENANT THAT THE 1ST TENANT HAS FULL SAY OVER YOUR APT & THAT ALL OF THIER RIGHTS WILL BE DENIED AFTER THEY SIGN UR LEASE. PLEASE LET THE TENANT KNOW U INTEND ON KEEPING THIER DEPOSIT & WILL MAKE UP ANYTHING U CAN THINK OF TO CLAIM A VIOLATION OF LEASE IN ORDER TO DO SO. TRY TO STICK TO THE LEASE U CREATE INSTEAD OF AMENDING TO UR CONVINIENCE WITH UR NEXT TENANT. PLEASE DONT SPY ON OR GASLIGHT YOUR ADULT TENANTS.
