Not a terrible experience
Pros
Stable, no real massive issues, everything was relatively new so we did not have many maintenance issues. We were higher up so we did not have to turn the heat on often.
Cons
The original owners, Hagstrom LLC, defaulted on their payments to whoever they were supposed to pay, and the building reverted to city ownership. We were unable to collect our Security Deposit due to this. Roaches were an issue in the kitchen, even with exterminators visiting monthly. Main door on the building broke periodically. Keypad would not function so you could not enter the building. We did not have a physical key.
Advice to the owners
More attentive and responsive super would be great. Physical key for the front door recommended.
Quality with a few drawbacks
Pros
Generally quiet, secure, with good finishes in the units. Nice rooftop, no package theft, rent on par with area.
Cons
Too few laundry machines that were prone to mechanical issues. Management was not responsive enough, were hard to communicate with, and entered the unit without advance notice.
