Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Scott Castellano reveal a mixed experience. Positive aspects include prime locations near Central Park and Brooklyn neighborhoods, friendly neighbors, and some well-maintained buildings with responsive superintendents. Many appreciate renovated units and amenities like in-unit laundry and bike rooms. However, management responsiveness varies, with several complaints about slow or inadequate repairs, pest issues including roaches and rodents, and inconsistencies in heating and water pressure. Some renters report unclean common areas and safety concerns. Rent increases and lease management issues are also noted. Prospective tenants should expect a patchwork of management quality, with efforts to address problems often delayed or insufficient.

Great building, few complaints

Pros

Impeccable location, responsive super. Walls are thin but don't usually hear neighbors. Reasonably clean and trash kept well.

Cons

Have experienced roaches and mice but both dealt with quickly

Advice to the owners

Keep it up!

Does the job, but leaves a lot to be desired

Pros

In unit laundry, spacious, right off of CP, very close to subway.

Cons

Units on the inside get little to no light whatsoever. All requests go through management company, which is not easy to work with. Occasional roaches.
