Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews indicate that Scott Castellano's buildings often suffer from poor management and insufficient responsiveness. While some residents enjoy great locations and well-kept garbage management, many report significant issues surrounding maintenance, pest control, and owner responsiveness. Concerns include ongoing pest problems, lack of timely repairs, and occasional heating issues. Numerous tenants note that management tends to delay addressing serious concerns until they escalate. Although some buildings have friendly neighbors and decent amenities, the overall sentiment suggests potential renters should proceed with caution and seek assurance of a proactive management approach before committing to tenancy.

Former tenant·just now

no gas service in apartment

Pros

close to park and 110 cathedral parkway station

Cons

gas service was shut off in may due to a gas leak and has not been restored as of august. management unresponsive.

Do not rent from them

Pros

Newly renovated, right by park

Cons

Gas was out for over a month and management did not care to provide timely transparency about resolution. Got us a cheap $15 hot plate instead, and no offer to compensate for inconvenience which made the apartment unlivable. We are very clean tenants and STILL had pest issues. Had exterminators come 3 times for cockroaches. when we requested a 4th time, as it was still not resolved, they gave us a date they’d come and simply never showed up or followed through. Stairway smells like pee. Stairwell has leaked trash trails on it. Photos of original units showed a gym which actually does not exist! And the rooftop is dirty and disgusting. Management is so unresponsive and does not care about their tenants. It’s a shame
