Nice building but bad management
Pros
Elevator, location, upgraded appliances
Cons
Cockroach, really bad split unit ac/heat that didn’t work, washing machine broken, Super entered apartment unit without letting us know after a fire happened else. No closets either.

Great Landlord, Older building, but nicely renovated
Pros
Landlord is very fair and the superintendent is very responsive. Management will accommodate most reasonable requests as they’re made politely. This is likely because the landlord is local and not a large property management corporation.
Cons
There was a fire in the kitchen basement below and the fire safety is questionable. Other pre-war building issues (pests, leaks, etc)
