Cons
Apartment is very difficult to cool down, even with all the windows wide open. Very small kitchen with old appliances. Maintenance is often unfinished. They will come to check a reported issue, do a quick fix, and then never come back to repair it fully.
Advice to the owners
If they are going to raise rent every year they need to update the building accordingly. The hallways all have grungy peeling paint, the light in the entry is always flickering, and the lock on the front door breaks all the time. A few little upgrades would make the building feel worth more.
