Do NOT Rent Here
Pros
Location is convenient to the trains and apartments are spacious.
Cons
Management could not care less if you live or die. Super never responds, management never responds. We were here two years and they bullied us into leaving and tried to stick $1000+ in fees when leaving. They sent us the renewal notice with 30 days to spare (despite asking for it repeatedly prior and being told they didn’t have it) and said we needed to sign that night or we would forfeit our deposit. Homeless people will live in the foyer in the winter for weeks and management did not do anything. The retail space is occupied by a group of people who throw loud parties in the middle of the week. The super regularly goes weeks without taking out the garbage so it piles up and attracts bugs.
Expensive Washer /Dryer
Pros
In-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a not-bad stove/microwave setup. The location is excellent for the area, and generally, it's not loud for where it's at, close to the Williamsburg bridge, Trader Joe's, and the FMJ at Delancey/Essex. Maintenance responds fast
Cons
Maintenance HAS to respond fast because there is constantly SOMETHING wrong. A leak here, a gaping hole for mice to fit through, sometimes you won't have hot water, and your ceiling may collapse. Issues will last for months while having to hound them to do anything about it sometimes constantly. The buzzer will work half the time, so receiving deliveries will be a fun little game of "will I get my packages today or not even though I AM HOME." OR the running club or whatever downstairs will have extremely loud parties without warning. The views are like being in prison, and they're charging way more than they should for the number of issues you consistently run into. Oh, and the leasing office is rude AND slow; if they're going to be in business, they somehow decided that being both was the most professional option.
