Pros
Good location, mostly well-maintained building, and maintenance requests are handled.
Cons
Laziest property manager I've ever had to work with, specifically Jessica. She is incredibly unresponsive and apathetic. Expect basic questions to go unanswered, forcing you to bypass her and contact other people at L Rose for basically anything. When she does respond, it will usually be cold, rude, and only happens after you've followed up with her several times. She could not care less about you or any other tenant for that matter. Additionally, be aware that there is a daily homeless encampment directly in front of the building. Nearly every day for the past year someone is directly in front of the entrance of 211 or 215 Knickerbocker. Expect to regularly step over people sleeping in the doorway, deal with abandoned trash, and witness open drug use right at the entrance. It's a sad and difficult situation, but you have the right to know before committing to a lease here.

The location is amazing.
Cons
The apartments are run down. Water and heat went out multiple times this winter and electricity sometimes goes out during the summer. You may get in cheap but rent increases drastically. Maintenance is responsive, but the leasing department is nightmarish.
