Great Apartments, Absent Management
Pros
Apartments have high ceilings, good lighting and large bedrooms, Great location.
Cons
Secruity system was lacking, with broken cameras and building doors didnt fully shut. If you live on the side of the building that shares a wall with KGB and comedy club prepare to be kept up all night.
Advice to the owners
Fix security in building, be more resposive when things need to be fixed
Great location/"bones" - Horrible Management
Pros
Location is incredible being in the EV on the cusp of LES and Bowery. 12 foot ceilings with tin tile and crown molding. Beautiful exposed brick. Heat is paid for by mgmt. Trash is taken out daily. Building residents are quiet and respectful. Large bedrooms for the EV. Beautiful large 7 foot tall windows if you are facing the north.
Cons
Management responses to maintenance requests are half-assed and never followed through. I have spoken more with other members in the office versus the actual property manager, Jay. Filthy apartment upon move-in. I had to "fight" to get it cleaned. Broken fridge. Dual front-load W/D disgustingly moldy upon move-in - we spent lots of money to attempt to fix the issue to no avail. It has not been fixed by them after 3 months of this issue being raised multiple times - rendering it unusable. It is now just a giant piece of junk taking up a lot of closet space. Because heat is managed by the owners - it can get quite toasty on warmer winter/spring days before they shut it off in late April. It is above an Italian restaurant + a comedy club and next to a bar, so there can be noise from them... but it isn't too glaringly bad. This is more prevalent in the second floor units.
