Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of 287 BLEECKER STREET highlight its prime location in the West Village, with convenient subway access and vibrant surroundings. Tenants appreciate the newly renovated units with in-unit washer dryers and good natural light. The building is generally safe and well-maintained, but some units face noise disturbances from nearby nightlife venues. Management responsiveness varies, with slow repairs reported. The pre-war aspect, lack of elevator, and high costs per sqft are drawbacks. Despite these, the majority approve of the owner and recommend staying due to cleanliness, good neighbors, and overall comfort.

Loved living here. Great access to trains, iconic street in west village.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved that most units are newly renovated and have an in unit washer dryer with great light. It is so convenient, with access to 8 different subway lines, and super great walkability. Generally pretty safe because there is foot traffic from Bleecker St Pizza nearby.
Cons:
Walk up can be hard depending on what unit you are in.
Can be loud at night because of nearby bars and restaurants open late night.
Repairs can be hard to reach sometimes, especially since the air conditioners are older and inverter style. They're weak and can break. You will need a separate fan to generate airflow in the summer.
Pre war building - walk up, no elevator, stairs are old. In the winter it can get cold.
Expensive per sqft.

Good building, mediocre management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great
Cons:
The superintendent is a very volatile scary person and the landlord is a company not a person. The smoke alarm goes off every time I cook. Management can be slow to respond or doesn’t respond at all. Security is nonexistent and I have had multiple packages stolen from inside the building.
Advice to owner:
Make it easier to contact management, get cameras and get a new super
