Loved living here. Great access to trains, iconic street in west village.
Pros
Loved that most units are newly renovated and have an in unit washer dryer with great light. It is so convenient, with access to 8 different subway lines, and super great walkability. Generally pretty safe because there is foot traffic from Bleecker St Pizza nearby.
Cons
Walk up can be hard depending on what unit you are in. Can be loud at night because of nearby bars and restaurants open late night. Repairs can be hard to reach sometimes, especially since the air conditioners are older and inverter style. They're weak and can break. You will need a separate fan to generate airflow in the summer. Pre war building - walk up, no elevator, stairs are old. In the winter it can get cold. Expensive per sqft.
Good building, mediocre management
Pros
Location is great
Cons
The superintendent is a very volatile scary person and the landlord is a company not a person. The smoke alarm goes off every time I cook. Management can be slow to respond or doesn’t respond at all. Security is nonexistent and I have had multiple packages stolen from inside the building.
Advice to the owners
