good location but old building and horrible management company

good location and kind building staff including live-in super and doormen who have been nothing but wonderful. solid package system

Cons

raised rent by way too much for bs reason. have seen very large cockroaches in our apartment (larger than I’ve ever seen before, even for NYC). lots of construction and noisy area at night if you have a window AC all sound enters the apartment and it’s extremely noisy due to people hanging out 24/7 across the street and screaming, yelling, playing music. absolutely terrible apathetic management company that doesn’t treat its tenants like humans

Very nice staff. Great management. Amazing location.

Slightly overpriced for how small some units are. It is on a noisier street. Some bathrooms are tiny and need updating.

How kid friendly is this building?

The folks who live here tend to be young professionals. I didn't see many families/kids in the building from when I lived there, though that does not mean it's not kid friendly. Just a note, if your kids are quite young (i.e., in a stroller), the front door swings outwards (not mechanized) and then you have to go up 3-4 stair steps to get to the main lobby / elevator level.
