Horrible Management: Unresponsive, Building not up to code

The owner/management are the worst I've ever dealt with in NYC. Multiple units in the building including ours had mold throughout the unit because they did not construct the building up to code. It took them over 30 days and an HPD violation report to do anything in our unit to fix the mold, and they did not fix it completely and then denied that work still needed to be done. The whole apartment smelled of mold. The super lives in New Jersey and is not responsive. The building is overall cheaply built and we had issues with leaks, mold, thin walls, etc. all year and even when reported management would not address the issues properly. They also rented the storefront to a smoke shop that has people hanging around the front door all the time, and there was a shooting/police pursuit in April 2026 on a Friday at 6:30pm. Management never addressed this and there was constant police presence out front for weeks, but as soon as they left physical fights (bricks thrown, etc) broke out again. We also got stuck in the elevator multiple times during the year.
