Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent renter feedback for 304 East 20 Street highlights a well-located, clean building with spacious units featuring modern finishes and good natural light. Many appreciate the quiet environment, friendly neighbors, and a responsive super named Angel who contributes positively to management. However, persistent issues with heating, air conditioning, pest control (notably mice and rats), and garbage management are significant concerns. Some tenants report unresponsive owners or leasing offices and occasional maintenance delays, particularly with HVAC and water systems. Rent increases and disorganization in package handling have also been noted. Prospective renters should weigh the building’s charm and location against these operational challenges.

Great apt, but raised rent $350 yearly
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super, Angle, is amazing and the apartment is a great space. The building is clean and well maintained.
Cons:
Raised the rent the max percentage possible within NYC law, 2 years in a row, even though we paid a brokers fee to move it.

Heat and A/C often not working
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and units have high ceilings and big windows. The apartments feature modern and clean finishes.
Cons:
Heating was very low sometimes. There was a few times it dropped below 15 celsius in the winter. The A/C was also not working and I asked the super and they replaced an used unit for me and it was still not cooling anything at all, just fan.
