Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.
Overall, the building and staff are terrific. The building itself is very well maintained, and the staff is excellent. The doormen are friendly and helpful, the building is kept very clean, and the superintendent does a great job. Management communication and responsiveness are where it really falls short.
Unfortunately, management is another story. It can be extremely difficult to get a response when you have a question or problem. Phone calls and messages often go unanswered, and it’s not always clear who handles what or even who you’re supposed to contact. There is a real disconnect between the excellent staff who take care of the building every day and the management office. Smoking in the building is also an issue and something prospective tenants should be aware of.
Improve communication with your existing tenants. There should be a clearly identified person tenants can contact with questions or problems, and calls and emails should be returned in a reasonable amount of time. The building staff does an excellent job, but management feels largely inaccessible. I would also encourage greater transparency with prospective tenants about the building and any ongoing issues or changes. Good management shouldn’t end once a lease is signed.
