Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for 226 E 70 St highlights a well-maintained prewar building with spacious, renovated units and a highly responsive live-in super who efficiently handles maintenance and trash. The location near the Q subway, Central Park, and local amenities is a major plus. Residents appreciate the quiet neighbors and building cleanliness, but note issues such as street noise from the nearby post office, occasional package theft due to no doorman, limited laundry facilities, and the presence of pests like mosquitoes and mice. Some express concerns about management's rent increases and younger tenants causing noise, suggesting a need for better tenant prioritization and communication.

nice building, super keeps it nice, landlord/management company not great
Former Tenant
Pros:
its kept really clean and the live in super is great
Cons:
the management company kinda blows --- we had brutally noisy construction for 5 months as an apartment in the building was gutted and they didnt do anything and they also price the units too high and try to go up way too much every year
