Apartment Studio Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, elevator building
Cons:
Noisy, no window insulation (traffic noise for apartments facing 1st ave) with very thin ceilings and walls, multiple incidents of roaches, the units smell like the restaurants below it, poor maintenance, broken washing machines, it took 1.5 months to get my security deposit back, no online portal to pay rent (have to physically give a check to the supers or mail to management)
Advice to owner:
Do better maintenance and inspection of the building especially plumbing and appliances, set up a portal for rent payments

Nice place to start in the city
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is always clean thanks to the super (Sandro). Super is very responsive, solves any issue quickly and he’s also a great human being. Studios are spacious. Accesible to the train and it is in very central area.
Cons:
Management is greedy and not loyal to their tenants in the sense that they look at you like a number and not as a person. Laundry machines are a bit more in the expensive side.
Advice to owner:
Office personnel need urgent and INTENSE customer service training. They clearly hate to talk with renters.

Nice Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is really well maintained and clean. The super is very friendly. The apartments are newly renovated
Cons:
First Avenue is extremely loud all day long. The landlord decided out of nowhere with no reasoning not to renew my lease
Advice to owner:
At least provide an explanation as to why a lease is not being renewed

Insanely noisy if windows face main avenue
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good
Cons:
Apartments are renovated, but all pipes are old. I had major heating issues which were never fully solved. Windows are old and some don’t close properly, insulation is inexistent, so level of noise is insane .. you might as well sleep on the street, no difference. Oven could be changed, sooo old. I didn’t appreciate the lease renewal offer at same monthly rate and shortly afterwards it was rented to the next tenant for $600 less.
Advice to owner:
Fix windows and heating
