Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenants praise the building's prime location in a great neighborhood and the kindness of neighbors. However, concerns arise regarding management favoring quick repairs over lasting fixes, an aging building, and occasional prickly interactions with the landlord and super. Despite some drawbacks, the friendly neighbors and good space make it a comfortable choice for those seeking a decent starter apartment in NYC. Suggestions include better pest control measures and improved communication from management. Mixed reviews on owner approval and building recommendation signal room for enhancement while acknowledging the positives of the building.

Decent building in a great neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location! The super is a wonderful man and generally responsive. Room layouts are decent and neighbors are so kind.
Cons:
Repairs generally favor the quick fix versus the lasting fix, and the building is really old. Management can be a little prickly.
Advice to owner:
Care a little bit more about the people you’re getting rich off of, not super novel.

Good space, bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very quiet, charming vintage bathroom
Cons:
The super was not my cup of tea. The day I moved in the deadbolt and lock on my door had been removed and he told me I had to pay him $50 cash to have it put back. He also would go through my trash regularly and scold me for throwing out bank statements rather than recycle them. Additionally, while I lived there (4 years ago) it was found that my unit and 2 others had illegal and dangerous gas hookups. It took 8 months for the gas to be turned back on to the building. The space itself was fine but I did not like interacting with the landlord or the super
