Decent building in a great neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location! The super is a wonderful man and generally responsive. Room layouts are decent and neighbors are so kind.
Cons:
Repairs generally favor the quick fix versus the lasting fix, and the building is really old. Management can be a little prickly.
Advice to owner:
Care a little bit more about the people you’re getting rich off of, not super novel.

Good space, bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very quiet, charming vintage bathroom
Cons:
The super was not my cup of tea. The day I moved in the deadbolt and lock on my door had been removed and he told me I had to pay him $50 cash to have it put back. He also would go through my trash regularly and scold me for throwing out bank statements rather than recycle them. Additionally, while I lived there (4 years ago) it was found that my unit and 2 others had illegal and dangerous gas hookups. It took 8 months for the gas to be turned back on to the building. The space itself was fine but I did not like interacting with the landlord or the super

Spacious for NYC and lovely neighbors; good starter apartment!
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's cute, great floor layout, mostly clean, friendly quiet neighbors, always get my packages! (And they put up cute holiday decorations in December)
Cons:
SMALL KITCHEN. The landlord will yell at you and blame you for everything for no reason... He'll half ass take care of things (or at least the people he hires, but i guess that's typical) Nice guy once you get talking to him though // (Also, entry doors buzz SO loud but that's minor)
Advice to owner:
Need to recalk the whole building- bugs keep finding a way in once it starts getting warm!!
