Above average NYC pre-war apartment.
Former Tenant
Pros:
In between 1st and 2nd Ave, which placed you close to many restaurants, bars, laundry, etc., but was a quite block. The supper was responsive about 85% of the time. I lived there 2 years and saw 2 cockroaches, but never any rodents.
Cons:
Very narrow apartment. It was once a studio that had a wall added to create a 1 bedroom. Ideal for 1 person, tight on space when two people live there. You could not comfortably have more than 3 people in the apartment - so it is not good to have company over. Very little counter space in the kitchen. The pictures I have seen online of it now are AI-generated and not the real space.
Advice to owner:
Update appliances, clean the hallways of the building.

So many roaches!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big space, cheap rent, and no noise transfer between neighbors
Cons:
Roaches galore! The building was not kept clean, the halls ways were always a mess. The kitchens were outdated and full of roaches. So we’re the bathrooms.
Advice to owner:
Clean. It. Up.

Nice neighborhood and great space
Former Tenant
Pros:
The space is amazing for the price, the neighborhood is great but the street is fairly quiet for the area. The water pressure is *chef’s kiss*
Cons:
The building management company isn’t the most responsive and also doesn’t care to put money into the upkeep of the building, the heat is still on in May when it’s 70 outside.
Advice to owner:
Care a little bit more about the upkeep of the building, it’s a great space and neighborhood and could be so nice but unfortunately they don’t care about updating anything more than the absolute bare minimum.
