Lovely place, lovely location, quick management

Pros:
Had an amazing time here — extremely cute location and clean space, frequently cleaned and staff are very friendly.
Very responsive management and super.
Cons:
did spot 1 or 2 roaches but extremely rare and small, exterminators would come next

Old building with decent renovations

Pros:
We have key fobs for building and apartment entry, which are very convenient. The building is operated by HUBB NYC, and they have a lot of staff that are available for repairs. Our unit was renovated with newer appliances and nice finishes. There are not too many units, so the building is quiet and you can't hear noise beyond your next door neighbor.
Cons:
Different things in the building broke over time. Our stoves all got replaced with electric stoves, which aren't as powerful. They had to rewire each unit's electrical box which meant major construction in the living room. The steam pipe in our bathroom melted a hole in the ceiling, which took three rounds of construction to fix. They repainted our living room walls the wrong color twice.

The heat in the winter is very powerful, so the apartment was constantly hot in the winter. The water heater occasionally would malfunction, so we had either no hot water or scalding hot water at times. The wooden floors are quite old, scratched, and creaky. We dealt with mice a few times, but the building maintenance always helped with filling holes and got that resolved quickly.
