1st NYC experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location - they returned security deposit
Cons:
Dirty building - dealt with roaches despite keeping my apartment clean always Loud neighbors Super unfit physically for job purposes Landlord cares about money 100% than fixing and have a decent apartment for tenants. Looks for the cheapest “solutions”. The guy who repairs stuff is super unprofessional. Stairs are so uneven and narrow
Advice to owner:
Look for another super Better housekeeping Renew your building complex

Overpriced, small, lazy management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is good, minutes away from the 6 train
Cons:
This building is cramped with too many apartments. The staircase is incredibly narrow and there is no elevator. Apartments are so small yet overpriced. Management sucks and the building “super” is on his last leg, barely able to keep up with anything. The super also doesn’t live on site, even though he alleges he has an apartment in the building. That might be so, but he lives full time in Brooklyn so don’t expect a fast response to issues. Common areas are dirty and we did have a mouse and some roaches in the apartment. Our upstairs neighbors were ridiculously loud every single night and calling management/311 did nothing to stop them blasting music until 4AM. If you need an affordable apartment, there’s plenty more buildings that are better managed and have better apartments than this one. Don’t let the “cheap” prices fool you into living here.
Advice to owner:
Sell this property so it can be renovated or torn down or take it upon yourself to make necessary renovations
