Solid Experience, with some Caveats

Pros

No frills, has what you need for a reasonable price, gym, security, laundry, spacious floor plans, awesome location, reasonable rent with limited increases.

Cons

Poor sound insolation, floors are quite thin, can cause neighbor disputes. Nice appliances, but likely use cheap contractors as cabinetry /tiling came apart.

Advice to the owners

Get better contractors for flooring/cabinetry/appliance installation.

More roaches than your average building

Pros

Inexpensive rent and nice location

Cons

Roaches are common. Pest control just seems to reduce their numbers a little but was never able to really solve the problem. Also the walls are extremely thin so you can hear your neighbors rather clearly

Advice to the owners

Sort out the roaches. Maybe just discontinue use of the garbage chute? There always seemed to be roaches coming out of it.
