Wants 30% rent increase
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like this neighborhood, and like the apartment. Wish I didn't have to move.
Cons:
Landlord is asking way over market price -- a 30% rent increase this year -- to established tenants. They did not lower my rent during covid, they accepted government payroll protection funds, and now they are soaking us for rent. It is criminal.
Advice to owner:
When the legislature passes the eviction protection law, and you can't make a fair return on this property, remember you brought it on yourself.

Great landmark building being renovated with dangerous squatters who won’t move
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location Location location
Beautiful old building which fell into disrepair
Cons:
Major demolition and renovation as if the building is empty. It’s not empty and the noise and construction dirt is off the charts. Surly unresponsive Super who when asked to fix something will say I have to call someone and ask about it etc..
Horrible super who does everything not to fix things. Huge rent increases.. Constant construction with no end in sight. Unless you’re a trust fund baby or independently wealthy you can do better.
Advice to owner:
We’re paying real rents and deserve better !
