Only 2 blocks from the 145th station for the 1 train, cute bars and restaurants nearby (highly rec the Honeywell, the Wallace, and the Chipped Cup). Rent is affordable and there is an elevator (works most of the time)
Super doesn’t really “fix” apartment issues - any leaks or water damage aren’t addressed, and the elevator tens to randomly stop working. He’s really nice overall, but doesn’t have the time/patience to respond to requests, so everything is sent through the leasing office. also the stairs are uneven at some parts, and we have had a bad string of packages being stolen.
They're responsive to pest complaints and they replaced our broken fridge relatively quickly. Rent isn't bad for the size.
Biggest problem is how for weeks on end the hot water won't last longer than 5-10 minutes in the shower. Whenever we complain we hear something about replacing or cleaning the tank and then it comes back for a bit but it always gets cold again. Pretty sure they just have terrible hot water system/infrastructure and they just tell you BS until the hot water randomly comes back, rinse and repeat. Other than that the windows are janky and the lock is kinda fidgety.
