Old Both Charming and Not

Pros:
No party-all-night neighbors
Cons:
Packages get stolen
People try to buzz in at weird hours, or pretend to be USPS or delivery service
Definitely have had addicts and homeless camp out in the lobby
Piping is old and patched at best. Expect leaks
Garbage outside is so infested with rats you can’t walk in

Pros:
This building was amazing to live in. We had a great super and it was in a very fun area. My neighbors were nice and respectful. The apartment was roomy and sunlit. I really enjoyed my time there!
Cons:
We had some mice problems, but this is very typical of NYC and also they did send an exterminator to check it out for us and help us.

My landlord is trying to sue me for staying home during a pandemic.

My bathroom.
Windows provide plenty of natural light.
Cons:
Unprofessional management.
Landlord to tenant harassment.
Apartment often wreaks of cigarette smoke from neighboring units.
Advice to owner:
Please do maintenance on the bathroom that the other roommates used before they vacated. It’s disgusting. Also, cancel the petition. I would like to have new roommates once it’s safe to do a completed occupancy renewal. And waive any fees as a Covid-19 relief courtesy.
