Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 260 W 52 St, Manhattan emphasize a well-maintained, clean building with spacious units and convenient amenities like laundry on each floor. Tenants appreciate the friendly, responsive staff, especially doormen and maintenance, contributing to a positive living experience. However, many note significant noise from the busy nearby 8th Avenue, tourist crowds, and occasional sirens, partly due to subpar window soundproofing. Water pressure issues and elevator reliability are recurring concerns. Pest control is generally good, though some mention occasional insect sightings. Rent increases and strict move-in/out policies have frustrated some residents. Overall, it’s suitable for those valuing location and management responsiveness despite urban noise.

Overall, a good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is very responsive Pet-friendly No hidden fees (amenities, pets) The walls have good soundproofing
Cons:
The windows don’t have great soundproofing so if you’re facing 8th avenue it can get loud Rent increases can be really significant, and it’s near impossible to negotiate (though you should still try)
