No. The construction is ongoing and at a very slow pace. There seems to be no rush to finish :(

Do you recommend moving into this building?

If you don’t mind living in the midst of a construction then, perhaps? Be mindful of (1) no sense of community or ownership (tenants are not mindful of forming a line in the elevator or waiting for an elevator if one is packed) (tenants throw trash everywhere) (tenants write on elevator) (building is ALWAYS dirty) (2) security is non existent(3) anyone can walk in and out (4) water is consistently shut down (5) heat is often lacking.

Anyone who lives in one of the so-called "gut renovated units" are you having problems with pests? (i.e., mice and roaches)?

Yes! There are huge rodents & lots of bugs since we live in proximity to the park. Water shut downs, demolitions & now the AC units are shutting down due to debris building up from the construction.

Re: Elevators, are they all not working at the same time? Is at least one working when the elevators break down?

The elevators are running now in 1295 but not in 1309 in constant use by contractors, & everyone moving out. MT Sinai staff hate it here now, we are done!

I could smell smoke residue in the hallway when visiting. Does this tend to seep into the apartments? Can management do anything about this or is this a lost cause?

This could depend floor to floor but I never smell things from my neighbor (whether it be smoke, cooking, cleaning products, scents, etc.) in our unit. Sometimes my neighbors have a really good smelling candle burning and I’m ironically frustrated that it doesn’t carry into my apartment lol. Management cleans the hallways every morning but the walls could use a fresh painting.
