Management Leaves Much to Be Desired
Pros
Great location and great neighborhood!
Cons
When you pay as much as you do in Manhattan rent, you would expect bare minimum when it comes to service. From the moment we have signed our lease we have BLDG's communication has gone radio silent. We were told by the management company's broker that the rooftop is available and an included amenity. He even brought us up on the roof! We were not told until later told that the rooftop is off limits to tenants. Classic bait and switch. Despite reaching out to them on the first day of our lease, they failed to give us move-in instructions. We followed up with them the next day and did not get a response until after business hours. We have text messages and emails of us trying to contact them beforehand and requesting information on how to move-in. When they finally sent the move-in instructions, we expressed our frustration that we could not move in on the start of our lease and asked for a credit for the two days we had not heard back about moving in. In spite of the fact that it is unlikely we could move in any sooner than the following week with the laundry list of pre-move-in requirements--some of which are not listed in the lease as required for move-in. We are only 3 days into our lease, and we deeply regret signing with BLDG management. Not worth the stress or hassle of getting information out of them. If you're looking for an apartment, I would keep looking somewhere else.
Advice to the owners
See above.
Nice building - great building team
Pros
Nice building. The team is great. Well located.
Cons
People speak super loud in the lobby (not the building team, the tenants...) and some.neighbors are super noisy.
Advice to the owners
Ensure that building rules (regarding noise) are respected. Be transparent about the noise created by the garage.
