Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant feedback for 64 East 8 Street, Manhattan presents a polarized view. Critics highlight poor management, citing rude and disrespectful staff, unhelpful superintendents, and demanding policies like a $600 non-refundable elevator fee. Cleanliness, garbage management, heating, pest control, and water pressure have also been criticized, contributing to an unpleasant living experience. Conversely, some tenants praise the building's location, solid construction, spacious units, and attentive management, emphasizing responsive service and quiet, friendly neighbors. Elevator renovations cause occasional delays, but updated facilities are appreciated. Overall, potential renters should weigh the building's prime location and unit quality against customer service and maintenance challenges before deciding.

Disrespectful building manager and staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
None at all
Cons:
Resident manager, Valdez Bellchista and handyman, Tommy were so disrespectful as building staff and as human beings. When moving in/out, they make you pay a ridiculous, non-refundable $600 elevator reservation fee.
