nice apartment, lousy management

Pros

It's on Roosevelt Island, which is a great place to live. The renovated apartments are nice and spacious and light, and many have great cross ventilation. But the renovations are cheap and the fake wood floors start to crack after a couple of years.

Cons

The water has cut off with no notice several times...sometimes it runs brown...sometimes it isn't hot. The laundry rooms are filthy and all of the machines are never working all at once. The maintenance staff are unresponsive.

Advice to the owners

Hire more maintenance staff and advise them that they need to be polite to the tenants.
