Apartment is great, area is horrible

Pros

The building is nice and the super is fantastic. Updated units that are well maintained.

Cons

The area is disgusting. The street, other than right outside of the building, is in horrific shape. Homeless people doing drugs at all times. Management is not responsive. Security is not there as often as they tell you when they sign your lease. Elevators are VERY dangerous. Have fallen with tenants inside multiple times. Package thefts every week.

Advice to the owners

Actually get security that's there when you say it will be.

Solid Quiet Spot in LES

Pros

Newer building A/C is quiet and effective Kitchen is fairly large Finishes are nice

Cons

My unit is fairly small (normal for LES) Lack of storage Mail room is a mess

Advice to the owners

Main thing is to fix the mail system. Incentivize people to pick up their packages and have more organization.
