Avoid this building if you can
Pros
Beautiful neighborhood, close to the park, kind neighbors who are very close
Cons
the heat goes out consistently everytime the weather goes below freezing and the owners will not fix the boiler. one neighbor had to wait almost 2 months and take the building to court for them to even address her mold issue after a preventable pipe bursting, there is an offsite, part time super. he's nice but not always available so when the heat inevitably goes out it could be hours or it could be days. the front door stops latching in winter and the owners just wait out complaints until the spring when it stops being a problem but refuse to fix the door. it seems like a nice place but the owners of the building want high turnover so they can charge higher rent and won't fix problems. there have been multiple broken leases over the poor care from the landlords.
Advice to the owners
fix the boiler for good, fix the front door for good, listen to your tenants, treat them like real people and not a wallet.
Expensive, Loud within a block of a homeless shelter
Pros
Across from the park
Cons
Windows are so old, so if you’re on 15th street you hear everything, literally everything . Which is a lot, as 15th st is an outlet for a traffic circle with a bus line, near bars and movie theatres and now has a homeless shelter down the block so expect crazy people cursing at the top of their lungs every night until 3am. You couldn’t pay me to live here. Wish I knew.
Advice to the owners
REPLACE THE WINDOWS. PETITION THE CITY TO GET THE HOMELESS SHELTER OUT OF THE PARK SLOPEARMORY
