Horribly Maintained Building
Pros
Large apartments, close to the A/C trains and even closer to LIRR.
Cons
Owner is extremely unresponsive. I had a ceiling collapse that went completely ignored. My power went out for 5 days, but it took the landlord 5 days to remedy because it “wasn’t an emergency”. Roof frequently leaks, both in apartments and in other areas of the building. Flakes of white dust fall from the ceiling as well. Elevator frequently out of order. Mail gets stolen due to security issues. Very expensive for the area. Somewhat sketchy area, very close to a homeless shelter so there is frequently trash/excrement on the sidewalk. On Atlantic Ave, which is a very busy street.
Great neighbors but a horrible place to live
Pros
Old NYC style loft with open layouts. Most unit have little brick accent walls and an industrial feel.
Cons
Units get unbearably hot or cold in winter. Nothing gets updated. the building get tons of leaks during heavy rain. This place is extremely overpriced. One elevator that breaks down all the time. Washing machines stain your clothes. I can literally hear neighbors talk on the phone through paper thin walls, and floor.
Advice to the owners
They wont take feedback, they just want money
