Nice apartments, horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments were large and rent stabilized. Free laundry in basement and roof access (might have changed since 2022)
Cons:
Garbage all over the stoop, tons of rats on the block because of it. Management could not care less about responding to issues until you withhold rent

good units, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
central air, dishwasher, generally pretty nice. good location and great stores nearby
Cons:
management is incredibly slow to respond to issues and many tenants have to threaten legal action or file with dept of housing to get any action from management (then things are magically fixed very quickly). the gym is unusable due to bugs and flooding. door to outside is continually broken, and the common areas are not very clean.
Advice to owner:
fix the gym, clean the building every few weeks, and RESPOND TO YOUR TENANTS :)

Not bad at all on 2nd floor
Former Tenant
Pros:
The central air and size are pretty great for the price my roommate and I pay. We have a little extra room for a home office.
Cons:
The basement with the washer/dryer and gym would be amazing if it was a little cleaner. When we first moved in there was a very clear pest problem that still lingers today a bit
Advice to owner:
Keep doing what you're doing! We just renewed our lease and it's improving so much since we first moved in

Not the best, not the worst
Former Tenant
Pros:
Free laundry. Pest control comes monthly or bimonthly to ask if services are needed regardless if they are or are not. 10 minute walk to the A, 20-25 min train ride to Manhattan. Lots of cafes nearby. 1.5 miles to prospect park. New management has improved.
Cons:
To start the “gym” they advertise is very gross. I’ve only used it twice in my two plus years here. The trash rat at night situation has improved but not perfect yet. Depending on what is asked maintenance requests may be answered day of or in a week. Lastly, and I think the biggest issue is packages being stolen. It happens too often and if there are cameras something needs to be done about it. I’ve had at least a handful of packages stolen.
Advice to owner:
Come up with something for package deliveries or make sure they are actually dropped off in front of apartment doors and not at the entrance where everyone can see them.
