Pretty good for the hood
Pros
New appliances definitely a plus. Fixtures are cheap, but not bottom shelf. The super and management company are pretty friendly and responsive. The building hallway is well kept and cleaned regularly. Landlord has never complained to me about anything. The walls and floors are very well sound proofed, but the doors aren’t and I can hear my neighbor’s music across the hall.
Cons
The above ground train is super loud. The windows aren’t cheap, but even when they’re closed you can hear the train. The first floor entryway can flood a bit when it rains really hard. There’s nowhere to put trash outside, except a small tiny alcove at the building next door (owned by the same landlord) and sometimes trash piles up like crazy. If I lived in the other building I’d be really upset. Myrtle Broadway is kind of a crazy intersection, there’s a lot of crazy people on the street, and loud bars/clubs on the weekend. I don’t mind it, but this is NOT a peaceful location.
Advice to the owners
We need somewhere to put garbage on days it’s not being collected.
