Good apt for young adults
Pros
Loved the location, great neighborhood. Close to the best restaurants and bars in the area. The apartments themselves were gutted and renovated. Many of the units have in-unit washer/dryer (combined) and dishwasher. Many people in the building are friendly and there is a group chat.
Cons
Some of the units have extremely high Con Ed bills with no help from management or Con Ed ($300-$600 monthly). If you’re on the front of the building, Franklin Ave can be pretty noisy. The front door buzzer frequently isn’t working which is very annoying for package deliveries. The trash room is kind of gross as well but I guess that’s sort of to be expected. Management is somewhat responsive but leasing office can be difficult to work with.
Advice to the owners
We frequently had problems with our split vac units and washer/dryer and think that this could’ve been avoided by routine maintenance.
Terrible Management Company
Pros
Neighborhood is great. Neighbors are nice.
Cons
Management company is terrible with response times. Utilities are outrageous and management company will not address issues.
Advice to the owners
Fire Jessica, she’s terrible.
