Great apartments and a well-kept building in a noisy area
Pros
This building is a great option if you meet the income qualifications--it's fully accessible, with a well-maintained lobby and elevators and a large laundry room in the basement. I have no complaints about the rental units--the whole building was gut-renovated some time ago, and so all the apartments are modern and functional (at least in my experience).
Cons
There is a live-in super, but he and management could be slow to respond to requests. Packages did sometimes go missing from the downstairs mail area, as there is not a door person or secure package area. The neighborhood is noisy, and the building sometimes is, as well--we had a neighbor that would play incredibly loud music from dawn to dusk on weekends, and management never intervened, even after requests.
Advice to the owners
Prompter responses from the super; enforcement of noise control
It’s a fine place
Pros
Good location. Friendly neighbors. Well maintained. Close to prospect park
Cons
Heat during winter was unbearable. Super was generally responsive but unprofessional. The neighborhood itself is quite loud
