home sweet home
Pros
the people who live in this building are great, i love my neighbors - noise doesnt travel in this building so that’s never an issue - the location is perfect distance from groceries and the train
Cons
rats outside of the building
Overall I like living here
Pros
I’ve lived here for about 2 years and resigned for a third. Overall, the building is good because the apartments are nice. High ceilings, tasteful finishes, sconce lighting instead of overhead, that kind of thing. Kitchen and bathroom finishes don’t feel cheap. There is great sound insulation between apartments and between rooms in the same apartments. The location is chaotic and there is a lot of trash on the block, etc, but it’s incredibly convenient and near so many amenities: grocery stores, urgent cares, walgreens, a block from the A train, etc. We’ve only had one cockroach and no other pests in the apartment.
Cons
Management is very unresponsive. You generally have to bother them multiple times to get repairs done. There’s ton of rats outside the building. They aren’t great with the building trash situation. Heat and AC comes from wall units and tends to be very expensive especially for heat in the winter. Bedrooms in the 2 beds are small. It’s a chaotic corner, and sometimes the neighbors can be very loud. We had a roof leak and it took us multiple times contacting them to fix it.
