Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 37 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, praise the spacious units with modern appliances, good natural light, and effective heating and cooling systems. Tenants value the quiet environment, friendly neighbors, and neighborhood charm. However, concerns include persistent maintenance issues such as a broken front door, occasional flooding in the basement, sporadic trash buildup, and delayed or incomplete repairs. Some renters also report problems with mold and pest control, and one tenant noted poor owner responsiveness and unresolved health hazards. Overall, residents appreciate the value and ambiance but urge management to improve building security, maintenance responsiveness, and cleanliness.

Mold throughout apartment, made me sicker than I've ever been
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are super nice, neighborhood is fantastic
Cons:
At first it felt great, but then.....the laundry room flooded and was covered in mold. I reported it and they did nothing for months. Turns out there was also a mold in the apartment, and management did nothing to fix it even after professional tests. I got sicker than I've ever been and had to move out, and they kept my security deposit even after re-renting the apt and didn't return an extra month's rent to me that I'd accidentally overpaid. I had to get rid of my couch, my bed, chairs, and all my pillows and blankets and sheets and buy new ones. Landlord yelled at me on the phone threatening to sue me.

Quiet, good value place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Only one apartment per floor, so you never really have to deal with neighbor noise -Good value for money in the area. Central air, dishwasher, SS appliances, and lots of space at this price. -Overall responsive management. They'll reply to you within the week to fix things.
Cons:
-The new super is kind of incompetent. Means well, but not very efficient or good at fixing unit issues. -The front door hasn't been fixed, so can often just be pushed open. The virtual doorman system doesn't always work. So obviously, lots of package theft.
Advice to owner:
Please fix the front door!
