Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 221 South 3 Street highlight its prime location and charming pre-war architecture with thick walls and exposed brick. Tenants appreciate the helpful, live-in superintendent and relatively affordable pricing. However, noise from the street is a recurring issue, sometimes causing walls to shake. Pest control remains inconsistent, with reports of roaches and mice. Maintenance concerns include plumbing problems, faulty locks, and fire alarms. Garbage management and cleanliness show mixed feedback. While some praise the owner’s responsiveness, others note difficult landlord interactions. The building lacks amenities such as rooftop access or garden spaces but benefits from a welcoming neighborhood and friendly neighbors overall.

Nice location, decent building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, beautiful pre-war unit, in-building super, thick walls
Cons:
Excessive street noise/music (so loud the walls shook); came home a number of times to find the super urinating on the sidewalk, fully exposed; roaches and mice; very small rooms
