Great location, not so great apartment

Pros:
Very close to multiple subway lines, the neighborhood, and proximity to other neighborhoods.
Cons:
Illegal 3 bedroom (only two rooms had windows), the front door to the building didn't lock, the landlord was not responsive unless you were persistent, and the apartment was not painted and very dirty when we moved in.
