Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenants at 134 Boerum Street appreciate the building's prime location near multiple subway lines and friendly neighbors, with several units rent-stabilized. The building management and super are generally responsive, especially in emergencies, though routine maintenance can be slower. Water pressure is usually strong, but occasional issues with fluctuating pressure and noisy plumbing pipes have been noted. Common issues include outdated appliances, thin walls impacting noise privacy, and recurring cockroach infestations despite extermination efforts. Package theft from the lobby is a frequent concern. While some renters recommend improvements like camera installation and unit updates, many value the building's affordability and community atmosphere.

Solid, with some cons
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great super, incredible location, stabilized units, nice neighbors
Cons:
Appliances in some units are shockingly old, walls and ceilings are paper thin. Get ready to hear your neighbors sneeze. Packages sometimes stolen from lobby
Advice to owner:
Replace appliances and give certain units a general update, set up a camera in the lobby
