Okay for short term
Former Tenant
Pros:
If you want a cheap place to crash temporarily, either because you're just moving to nyc, or are here for a month or two, it's a good stable landing pad while you figure your stuff out, and the other people who stay here are usually pretty chill and nice. The 2nd floor that the live in apartment manager lives on is much nicer than the other two.
Cons:
During the summer, the top floor is unlivable, especially in the windowless rooms, because of the heat. The fire escape trash cans had rats sometimes. Can be loud, but also you get what you paid for (at least if you're in one of the cheaper rooms -- if you're paying more, you have so much better deals elsewhere)

The worst rooms to rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
I don’t have to mention any pro
Cons:
The place is too small and expensive place (closet) to live. Don’t waste your time living or trying to rent there because most of the rooms don’t have windows and heat. The train station is in front of the building that’s is why there is noice 24/7. The manager Jack does not have any idea of how manage and solve problems, also he does not speak English making a lot of misunderstandings. I spend in that place 2 weeks in winter time. They used to turn off the heat in the nights for saving money, so I make a complaint about and never received any solution or answer. The building is always dirty, messy and unkempt
Advice to owner:
Don’t rent a place like these and be honest with the lessee about all the lacks of the building and prices

Disaster Don’t Waste Your Time
Former Tenant
Pros:
The Pro’s Are Few and Far Between
Cons:
Management is scetch as hell. You can tell the so called building manager Jack has no clue what he’s doing. Rules are made up as you go. Prices are way overpriced to live with 8 other people in a shoebox. It’s literally so close to the J train your the bedrooms rattle as it passes.
Advice to owner:
Get out of business. stop accepting just anybody stop being a scam

Apartment vibes
Former Tenant
Pros:
If your new to New York and you want to meet people this is the place to be because there is 7-8 rooms each floor right buy the train line to Manhattan
Cons:
Living with so many people can be Annoying because of everyone living habits and majority of the rooms are so small only 1 or 2 ppl can fit . Some rooms don’t have windows which can be depressing. Management is shady they make rules as it goes. So be careful.
Advice to owner:
Stop renting rooms with no windows and loft beds are to close to the ceiling you can’t sleep up there.
