“Better Homes”
Pros
Technically counts as shelter.
Cons
Lived in the “renovated” ground floor apt. Back yard featured a random pile of construction cement, as well as bathroom tile - so you’d fall on your ass when it snowed. Major plumbing issues - burst pipes (water raining down *through a light fixture didn’t seem to concern the landlords) and frozen pipes (went almost a week without heat before the landlords came to check out the issue, all during a bomb cyclone). Also RATS. Greeting us when we opened the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Because the landlords hadn’t sealed off the wall when they installed the kitchen plumbing, so there was a direct path from the outside of the building, into our kitchen, for rodents to nest. Management company went by: Better Homes.
