Cons
1. A lot of rats. A lot. Hard to control. Rats in walls, floorboards, ceiling, between floor levels, chewing through concrete from front to back. Stampedes back and forth from street to back yard. Squeals in walls, chewing and gnawing all night. Afraid may come into the apartment. 2. Noisy neighbors. Very loud fighting and police activity, but not actual tenant. 3. Sewer issues with raw sewage over flowing into the basement living area. Flooding rain water inches at a time. A lot of damage that is not reimbursed. 4. No faucet in backyard, so not user-friendly". Unable to remove debris and garbage. Unkept and overgrown. 5. Garbage is out of control at times. Garbage is MWF with W for oversized and Recycling. do not live here
Pros
it is close to the train
Cons
this was my worst living experience in new york. we lived in the 1R apartment and during that time dealt with rats, regular flooding, roaches, and carbon monoxide. the landlords only responded once we stopped paying rent, and would regularly attempt to extort tenants with random fees. even after i moved out, they fraudulently claimed my roommate and i owed them money for months where we did not even live in the apartment and we’re not part of our lease. the ensuing investigation found that in reality *they* owed *us* money. couldn’t recommend less.
