So many issues

Pros

1. Easy Commute- L train across the street 2. 24 hour deli next door that is clean and has a nice variety of items 3. Responsive landlord. Management usually responds within 30 minutes. 4. If you have a car, parking is pretty good. 5. No roaches or bedbugs!

Cons

1. A lot of rats. A lot. Hard to control. Rats in walls, floorboards, ceiling, between floor levels, chewing through concrete from front to back. Stampedes back and forth from street to back yard. Squeals in walls, chewing and gnawing all night. Afraid may come into the apartment. 2. Noisy neighbors. Very loud fighting and police activity, but not actual tenant. 3. Sewer issues with raw sewage over flowing into the basement living area. Flooding rain water inches at a time. A lot of damage that is not reimbursed. 4. No faucet in backyard, so not user-friendly". Unable to remove debris and garbage. Unkept and overgrown. 5. Garbage is out of control at times. Garbage is MWF with W for oversized and Recycling. Usually gets taken out once or twice per week, which adds to the rodent infestation. Garbage area is unkept and contributes to the pests- flies, rats, mice. 6. The building is not maintained well. It is often dirty and odorous.

Don't move here.

Pros

Cons

Management/ super have no sense of urgency when there's a problem. Hot water was constantly out as the boiler was always broken. Old heating pipes caused leaks in the apartments below and they were slow to fix it even if it interfered with electrical. One electrical circuit per entire apartment that shorts especially in the summer when you have the AC on and want to microwave something.

Advice to the owners

Get probably trained super and contract out advanced maintenance problems that one super cannot handle on his own. Care about people paying the mortgage especially when raising the rent annually. Upgrade your old exposed faulty one circuit electrical wires that's awaiting a fire hazard.
