Well Maintained Building

Pros

We have lived here 20+ years. The live in super is outstanding, him and his wife keep the building common areas clean, the garbage/recycling rooms on each floor get emptied numerous times a week. They mop the floors from top to bottom at least twice a week. The owners are responsive and very family friendly. The apartment sizes are amazing, you can’t beat intact prewar apartments!

Cons

My only con that the building has any control over is the pests. Seeing roaches and even mice is not uncommon. I am a lifelong NY’er so I know those are common in older buildings but the monthly pest management guy doesn’t do much.

Advice to the owners

Invest in better pest management and sealing up all of the cracks in the apartments.
