Slumlord Run Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Found this place as an affordable option in a nice, homey neighborhood. It is affordable, spacious and a great place that I love.
Cons:
It's an older building to up keep is necessary but tenets are the ones cleaning the elevator and hallway, management does nothing. There is a rodent and roach problem that management does nothing about. When things in the apartment break down management does not answer emails to fix them so you're basically on your own. And then they have the audacity to raise the rent on you... for a building they don't maintain. Great place but management literally hates their tenets, don't understand how they think they're going to make money on a crumbling building they neglect for much longer.
Advice to owner:
Manage your apartment building. No one will pay over 1K to live like this when there are so many other affordable options in the neighborhood

Pros:
Lobby has a lot of potential… apartments have beautiful hard wood floors. Some renovated units have washer dryer and recess lighting.
Cons:
Just look at the open violations… roaches are bad. Management is hostile.
Advice to owner:
YOU SHOULD ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR TENANTS AND THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.
