Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 101 Jefferson Avenue in Brooklyn praise its prime location near subway lines and well-maintained spacious apartments with updated appliances. Tenants consistently commend the attentive and friendly super and management for their timely responsiveness and package services. The building offers good amenities such as a gym and rooftop, though some suggest updates and additional bike storage. Noise from commercial spaces and occasional heating issues, particularly in basement units, are noted concerns. Safety and communication during incidents have been problematic for some residents. Despite minor drawbacks like lack of an elevator and occasional noise, the building's community vibe, cleanliness, and management responsiveness make it appealing for renters.

Great location, great super, decent building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nelson, the super, is incredibly responsive and nice. The location just off of an A stop and close to the G is great. Generally great amenities (reasonably priced laundry machines, usually more than enough for the entire building, perfectly well-stocked workout room). My apartment had a good amount of space, and a great kitchen as far as NYC apartments go.
Cons:
Some issues with the basement level of my duplex apartment. Had a minor flooding issue once, but that was during historically bad flooding across the city in a major storm. Some issues with the heat in the basement level as well.

Pretty good overall
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very responsive super. Great appliances, and when we had an issue with our built-in window AC it was fixed promptly. Super reasonable rent.
Cons:
The heating in our basement level is not really functional.
