Crazy QAnon landlord

Pros

Beautiful apartment and great location. They also charged us very fair rent at the time.

Cons

Landlords would show up unannounced all the time and wanna talk to us about weird conspiracy theories and visions from God. Would regularly send us Alex Jones style YouTube video conspiracy theories over whatsapp and would tell lies about us to the other tenants and vice versa to justify things like not lowering rent during covid or why they needed rent in cash etc, not realizing we were all friends and would talk to each other and immediately find out they were lying. Tried to scam us out of security deposit and even sent us an invoice from a fake cleaning company, only giving it back if we agreed to retract the complaint we filed with the state AG. Super shady people with a holier than thou attitude. Don't trust anything they say.

Advice to the owners

Don't show up unannounced. Be honest with tenants, even little white lies catch up to you and erode trust. Most of all keep the conspiracy theories and visions from God to yourselves.
